You can make your own bouncy balls with the Big Bouncy Ball Science Kit! This is a super easy DIY project and the EZ LAB science kit comes with everything you need to make up to 28 bouncing balls of various sizes.
DIY Bouncing Balls Science Kit
Your Bouncy Ball Science Kit comes with crystal powder in several vibrant colors, toothpicks, four ball molds and a small spray bottle.
You just pour the powder into the ball molds and submerge in warm water for about 10 minutes. Every few minutes you need to take it out and poke it with a toothpick to make sure it is completely saturated with water.
Once the ball is formed, you pop it out of the mold, and it is a little wet and sticky at first. A hair dryer works great to finish drying them out. Then you are done and ready to play!
We only made a one ball of every size and have a bunch of powder leftover to make more. Make sure you fill the molds all the way to the top or you will end up with a flat part on your ball after the powder settles. But no matter the shape- they all bounced!
