Making Slime with Elmer’s Collection Slime Kit
Elmer’s Glue is the most popular option for homemade slime recipes, so it makes sense for them to get into the slime-making business.
Their Collection Slime Kit comes with everything you need to make some really cool slime! You get three different kinds of glue: metallic, clear and blue, and three different activators: metallic, glow-in-the-dark, and confetti.
You can mix and match these to custom make the kind of slime you want.

No-Fail Slime Mix
Making slime with this kit couldn’t be easier. You just pour the glue in a bowl, and then add a little activator at a time, mixing until you get the perfect slimy consistency.
First, we made slime at home by mixing the clear blue glue with the glow-in-the-dark activator.
It mixed together very easily and made a cool blue slime that really did glow after charging it up with a light bulb. You can see how well it glows at the end of our video below.

Making Beach Sand Slime
For our next batch of slime, my son really wanted to make sand slime at the beach! So, we brought the rest of the Elmer’s Collection Slime Kit to the beach, to see what we could make.
To make beach sand slime, first make a big hole. That will be your bowl!
Next, pour the Elmer’s Glue into the hole. We used the red metallic glue.
And finally, add your activator until you have the right consistency. We used the metallic activator, and it made a neat red metallic sand slime

As a side note, we tried the confetti activator and clear glue, and it did NOT mix well with the sand. It ended up being way too gooey and not firm enough.
The red started off a little gooey but firmed up nicely. Beach sand slime can be a bit tricky to get right!
But you can’t go wrong if you stick to the regular directions and make it at home without the sand.

It was a windy day, so my son kept using the slime to make really big bubbles!
