Every month you can sign your child up to attend a free DIY workshop for kids at Lowe’s! The DIY-U classes are held on Saturdays from 10AM – 1PM. Pre-registering is recommended, but they do sometimes have space for drop-ins.

DIY-U Workshops for Kids Free at Lowe’s
Each DIY-U workshop for kids features something new to build, from bird houses to airplanes. All materials and tools needed are supplied.
The kits consist of wooden pieces with pre-drilled holes, nails, stickers and instructions.
You do need to be there with your child- this is not a drop-off class. But, if they are old enough to do it on their own, you can slip away to do some shopping while they are building.
With each class they get a badge. Six badges and they become a Junior Builder, and 12 badges equals a senior builder. Senior builders get awarded a free tool bag!

Lowe’s DIY-U Airplane Kit Build
Normally you do the workshops actually at Lowe’s, but we showed up late one time and the workshop was over, but they had kits left, so Keelan got to take one home to build. We filmed it as a time-lapse video for his YouTube channel.
