Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

The newest computer-animated action-comedy film based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters is the 14th film in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise and the third reboot of the film series, following the 2014 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and its 2016 sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

The film is directed by Jeff Rowe and written by Rowe and Brendan O’Brien. It features the voices of Mikey Way, Brandon Smith, Eric Bauza, Josh Brener, and Seth Rogen.

The film follows the four turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo, as they emerge from the sewers and into the streets of New York City for the first time. It also gives you the backstory of how they were found by Splinter, and what his life was like before he found the turtles covered in mysterious glowing green ooze.

The turtles just want to go out and enjoy the city without people being afraid of them, but an army of mutants is making that hard as they create mayhem, giving all mutants a bad name. Can they stop the mutants from destroying the city and finally be accepted as heroes? You’ll have to watch the movie find out!

The movie kept my son interested the whole time, which says a lot because we usually watch half a movie and finish the other half later. The animation style is really unique and reminds me of a comic book come to life.

As a long time TMNT fan, I enjoyed the movie and thought they did a good job with the backstory. It was a cute movie, and something for the whole family to enjoy together.
