JUNO Co Clean 10 Cleansing Balm and the Double Cleanse

I fell in love with the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm but wanted to find a more affordable option for the double cleanse, which is how I found the JUNO Co. Clean 10 Cleansing Balm. This is the closest I’ve found to the Elemis style balm at a fraction of the price!

What is the Double Cleanse?

I’ve been a fan of the double cleanse for a long time. This is a face washing method that does just what it says- you cleanse twice.

First you apply an oil-based cleanser to break up dirt, makeup and whatever else your face has on it by the end of the day. This way it gets all the gunk off gently and moisturizes at the same time.

Then you follow that with a gentle cleanser to remove all the last bits and any residue. Although sometimes, if I’m not removing makeup, I wash only with the cleansing balm and don’t do the second wash.

How Does JUNO Co Clean 10 Cleansing Balm Compare?

I love the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm, but at $70 for the smallest size, it was a hefty investment. I went searching for something comparable and tried many other balms before finding the JUNO Co Clean 10 Cleansing Balm, which is only $15.

Of course, it doesn’t have the collagen in it that the Elemis balm has, but overall, it has a similar texture and does a wonderful job of cleaning off all my makeup and leaving my skin feeling soft and not greasy.

It has a very slight, fresh citrus smell which comes from Orange Peel Oil. Not overly perfumed at all. I usually like unscented products, but if the balms don’t have a scent, then they sometimes smell oily, and it makes you feel like you’re putting Crisco on your face instead of a nice cleanser.

The JUNO Co Clean 10 Cleansing Balm has only 10 ingredients, with the main ones being Japanese Pearl Barley and Vitamin E to hydrate and nourish the skin.

The balm is solid in the jar but melts as soon as you put it on your fingers and skin. And a little goes a long way! So, I don’t feel the need to goop it on.
