OLAPLEX No. 9 Bond Protector Serum Review: Totally Wowed

I got the OLAPLEX Nº.9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum in my Fab Fit Fun box and have already purchased a new bottle during the Cyber Monday sale. This stuff is amazing when used before a blowout and curling. It works nicely if you air dry too, but I wasn’t totally wowed until I used it before I heat styled my hair. OLAPLEX No.9 Really Works

I have long, wavy, bleached, toned and colored hair, that I blow out straight, and then curl. In other words, I put my hair through A LOT. So, I’m always trying different hair products to fight the damage and make my hair look like nice hair and not a snarled fuzzball.

The OLAPLEX Nº.9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum is infused with the patented OLAPLEX Bond Building Technology to help rebuild your damaged hair while shielding it from pollution and protecting against heat damage up to 450ºF. The silicon-free antioxidant serum also adds shine and reduces static and tangles.

I’ve tried other products that do all those wonderful things pretty well, but the thing that really wowed me was the Style Memory! Meaning, I styled my hair with barely any hairspray and the curls stayed all day, then I slept and got up with my hair still looking smooth and curled.

Normally the curls fall out in a few hours! But my hair looked great and was silky and wavy for three days. I usually try to hold out from shampooing it for a few days after I style it.

What is Bond Building Technology?

The OLAPLEX Bond Building Technology is a key feature in their formulations. The primary goal of OLAPLEX is to repair and strengthen hair, particularly in the context of chemical processes like coloring or bleaching, which can damage the hair’s structure.

I also use their purple shampoo and other bond building products! One thing I have found though, no matter what product I use, my hair looks best if I heat style. I guess it’s like ironing clothes. My hair texture is normally wrinkly and heat styling smooths it all out!

I definitely recommend giving this serum a try if you do a lot of blow drying and heat styling.
