Does RYZE Mushroom Coffee Really Work?

You’ve probably seen the ads claiming mushroom coffee does everything from make you lose weight to increase focus. So, does RYZE mushroom coffee really work? I tested it out, along with two other popular mushroom coffees to see what worked best.

The answer? It depends on what you want it to work for. Read on for the RYZE review and comparison, plus some general mushroom coffee knowledge.

What Are the Benefits of Mushroom Coffee?

Mushroom coffees like RYZE and Everyday Dose offer a unique blend of adaptogenic mushrooms and traditional coffee that promise an energy boost, along with several other benefits for mind and body.

Lately I’ve noticed a lot of ads with claims about it helping with weight loss, bloating and “meno belly,” brain fog, and even one where a girl said it changed the shape of her face! Some of these ads seem ridiculous, but I will throw my support behind one claim- it does seem to help my brain. I can think more clearly and solve problems better.

The one I found works best for this is RZYE. I liked it enough to join their affiliate program, so you can save 15% with my link: https://get.aspr.app/SH18pY or use code CANDYKEANE15.

Why Choose Mushroom Coffee

Mushroom Coffee is Gentler on Your Stomach

Traditional coffee can be harsh on sensitive stomachs due to its high acidity. Many mushroom coffee blends are lower in acid, which can reduce digestive discomfort, bloating, and heartburn—common complaints among regular coffee drinkers.

My stomach can be sensitive to coffee, especially the ones with higher caffeine, or if I drink more than one cup. That doesn’t happen when I drink the mushroom coffee, which has a lower caffeine content.

Smoother Energy Without the Crash

Mushroom coffee typically contains less caffeine than a standard cup of coffee, especially when mixed with mushroom powders like Lion’s Mane, Chaga, or Cordyceps. The result? A more balanced, sustained energy boost without the jitteriness or crash often associated with high-caffeine drinks.

I can confirm I do not get the jitters, even after drinking two cups of RYZE.

Cognitive Support and Focus

Mushrooms like Lion’s Mane are linked to cognitive enhancement, including better focus, memory, and mental clarity. When paired with the mild stimulant effect of coffee, it creates a brain-boosting duo that can be great for productivity or studying.

This is why I keep going back! I feel like my brain works better on mushroom coffee. It seems to help best with problem solving and coming up with ideas.

Immune System Support

Chaga and Reishi mushrooms are rich in antioxidants and beta-glucans, compounds that may help support immune function and combat inflammation. Regular consumption of mushroom coffee could help bolster your body’s natural defenses over time.

Stress and Anxiety Reduction

Reishi is often referred to as the “mushroom of immortality” in traditional Chinese medicine and is known for its calming, adaptogenic properties. Adding it to coffee can help balance the stimulating effects and support a more relaxed mental state.

Athletic Performance and Endurance

Cordyceps mushrooms have long been used to boost stamina and oxygen utilization. Athletes and fitness enthusiasts may find mushroom coffee helpful as a pre-workout drink to enhance endurance without overstimulation.

When I have a 9AM yoga class, I drink mushroom coffee in the morning. I can’t drink regular coffee before class, because I never know how it will affect my stomach, and nobody wants to be running to the bathroom in the middle of yoga class.

Antioxidant Power

Many medicinal mushrooms are loaded with antioxidants that protect the body from oxidative stress and free radical damage. Over time, this can contribute to healthier aging and reduced risk of chronic disease.

What’s the Best Mushroom Coffee?

RYZE is the winner for best effects and focus! While I actually liked the taste of Everyday Dose a bit better, it just didn’t pack the same punch as RYZE. Probably because RYZE has a lot more mushrooms in it. I also tried VitaCup Focus mushroom coffee and it was the least effective of the three.

What Adaptogenic Mushrooms are in RYZE?

Adaptogenic mushrooms are a group of fungi known for their ability to help the body manage stress and restore balance. Unlike psychedelic mushrooms, these don’t alter your perception—they support your immune system, boost energy, and promote mental clarity.

And RYZE is totally packed with mushroom goodness! This is probably why it has the “earthier” taste of the other ones I tried. It honestly took me a bit to get used it. So, I’m not going to tell you it tastes wonderful and creamy and all that like they do in the ads.

To me, it tasted and smelled earthy and not really like normal coffee. But now that’s I’ve been drinking it for a while, I don’t really notice the shroomy taste. I also mix it with flavored creamer!

Mushroom Ingredients:

  • Cordyceps: Known for increasing oxygen utilization, potentially leading to sustained energy and faster recovery.
  • Lion’s Mane: May enhance focus and mental clarity.
  • Reishi: May help manage stress and promote better sleep.
  • Shiitake: Supports immune function and metabolism.
  • Turkey Tail: May support gut health and digestion.
  • King Trumpet: Rich in amino acids and antioxidants.

Other Ingredients:

  • Organic Arabica Coffee: Provides the classic coffee flavor.
  • MCT Oil: Derived from coconuts, it provides energy and supports cognitive function.
  • Organic Coconut Milk: Adds creaminess and supports mushroom bioavailability. (it does not taste or smell like coconuts though)

Does RYZE Help You Lose Weight?

This is one claim I keep seeing in the ads, saying mushroom coffee will help you lose weight, and I haven’t had any luck with that. I have not lost any weight and still deal with the occasional bloating after eating.

For full disclosure, I am almost 50, menopausal and fighting that “meno belly” bloating by trying to eat better and regularly workout. Adding mushroom coffee did wonders for my brain fog, but I did not magically lose 10 lbs.

So, I can’t promise RYZE or any mushroom coffee will make you skinnier, but I do honestly believe in its effects on mental clarity. Click here to check out RYZE and save 15%. Give it about a week and you might notice you start thinking more clearly.

It’s not a magic brain pill where you are suddenly super intelligent. But you may notice solving problems, replying back to e-mails, finding out how to make things happen all starts to come a little easier.

Obviously not everything works the same for everyone, but this one did actually work for me, and I’m actually sitting here right now sipping my RYZE mushroom coffee!

If you do try it, remember to come back and leave a comment and let me know what you think. I’m cautious about what I recommend and always interested to hear how things work out for other people.
