Review: No Fade Fresh Shampoo in Light Pink

I wanted to turn my blond hair a light pink color to go with my Mad Hatter cosplay this weekend, so I gave No Fade Fresh Color-Depositing Shampoo a try in the light pink shade. It came out a little more intense than I planned!

It really grabbed at the top where my hair is the lightest and was lighter near the bottom. I did do it twice, because it was a bit uneven on the first try. It came out bright in some spots and streaked in others. I only left it on a few minutes both times and did it right in the shower.

No Fade Fresh color shampoos are a high-lather, sulfate-free shampoo with BondHeal bond rebuilder proprietary technology to rebuild bonds in the hair from the inside out. BondHeal strengthens hair and reduces breakage and damaging effects from bleach and hair color.

After using it twice on my bleached and damaged hair, I didn’t notice any further damage, but I also didn’t notice any amazing improvement. My hair was about the same, just hot pink.

It’s designed to be used in between coloring and to give color a boost, but I got an overall color change. It didn’t do much to my already colored parts, like the blue and purple underneath. (the photo doesn’t show those parts)

The shampoo itself comes out like a magenta jelly blob, and it was a little hard to spread it around due to the consistency. I think that’s why so much went in some spots and I had to do it twice and concentrate on the areas it didn’t get to the first time.

I am impressed with the color depositing, although I was hoping for a lighter pink. I would definitely use it again for a quick easy color change. It was so dramatic on my hair because of my bleached strands. It wouldn’t be as bright on natural hair.

Does No Fade Fresh Fade?

My hair was a little too magenta for my liking, so I actually tried to wash some of this out the next day. I washed my hair twice and used a clarifying shampoo. I’m pretty impressed how much color stayed in!

It should be noted that I started with bleach blond hair, so it is very light and very porous! I do not think the results will be as dramatic on natural blond hair, or darker hair.

I do like the new, lighter pink!
