I get to try some interesting things for the blog and this week it’s Watermelon Toast from China! It’s really more like watermelon bread, as it’s not actually toasted. It’s a pretty interesting snack. If you’re wondering what watermelon toast tastes like, read on for my review!
It comes individually wrapped and assembled like a little sandwich. Each one looks like a slice of watermelon. The red part is soft and squishy, and the green part (or crust) is a little tougher like the rind would be.
Does Watermelon Toast Taste Like Watermelon?
It does taste very lightly of watermelon and also smells like watermelon. It’s not super sweet, and very mild. It has a gooey filling that tastes sweet and was not my favorite. I liked just the bread part better by itself.
